In February 2020 I began an Artist Residency at Beacon Academy Primary School. I taught four afternoon lessons to year 6, demonstrating basic skills in drawing, painting and collage using a range of mediums. Unfortunately the teaching was cut short due to COVID-19 but I was instead commissioned to paint the signage for the classrooms remotely. Using some of the children's illustrative paintings and drawings as inspiration I created collaged animals using mixed media on canvas. The school has a British wildlife theme and this is reflected in the class names.
